Our root promise.
A healthy canopy is the visible result of an invisible beginning.
We do not want to sell a sapling that merely looks tall on the day it leaves the nursery. We want to help begin a tree that establishes, survives and grows into useful green infrastructure.
1. Root architecture before height
We inspect for circling, girdling and congested roots. A smaller sapling with a healthy root system is often a better tree than a taller sapling whose future is already constrained inside the bag.
2. Living soil, not inert filling
Our enriched planting medium is designed around porosity, organic matter, biological activity, drainage and moisture-holding. The aim is not to force rapid top growth. It is to create a breathable environment in which roots can explore.
3. Reduce avoidable transplant shock
Transplanting interrupts water uptake and changes the root environment. Correct planting depth, a visible root flare, slow deep watering, mulch and appropriate hardening help reduce that shock. No responsible nursery can promise zero mortality; we can promise to keep removing preventable causes.
4. Establishment is part of the product
A sapling does not become green infrastructure at dispatch. The first three summers matter. Every buyer should leave with practical guidance on watering, mulch, protection, inspection and when not to interfere.
